The Presenters In alphabetical order Dr Kais Al-Timimi Kais Al-Timimi is the founder and Managing Director of Datamation Limited, an internationally renowned consultancy in the field of Product Lifecycle Management. Kais has been involved in the field of data management, for over 20 years as a user, software developer and a consultant. He specialises in data and application integration. In the late 1970’s, while at Perkins Engines, he was one of the first to demonstrate how engineering drawings from a CAD system could be merged with data from a corporate database. Since then he managed a number major implementation project in the aerospace and other sectors. Since he founded Datamation, Kais has been a keen promoter and proponent of data integration and interoperability standards. He is also the author of the book "STEP: Towards Open Systems" one of the two recognised books on STEP (ISO 10303), Dr Nigel Ball Nigel
Ball is a co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of MeTabula Limited, a
supplier of intelligent information integration and consolidation
solutions. Nigel
is a highly qualified technical architect specialising in advanced
object-oriented systems and development of products and solutions using
model-driven architectures. He has spent the last seven years
architecting, and managing the development of various products in the
information management and data quality arena. This was preceded by a
number of years working at the Cambridge University Engineering Department
supporting research into knowledge representation techniques. Nigel
has worked with organisations across industries such as Oil and Gas,
Defence, Process, and Shipping to create solutions for data management and
data quality problems. Nigel
is an excellent communicator, and has written and presented a number of
training courses. Roger Eatwell Roger
Eatwell is a co-founder and CEO of MeTabula Limited, a supplier of
intelligent information integration and consolidation solutions. Roger
has been involved in the field of data and information management, for 15
years as software developer and consultant. After leaving Logica
where he spent most of his time as development consultant in the Energy
& Utilities division, he joined Quillion Ltd. At Quillion, Roger held
several positions including Development Director and Chief Technical
Officer. In his roles he was responsible for several of the company’s
new developments and technical partnerships. Over
the last nine years Roger has had extensive involvement in client projects
across a variety of sectors, many of which utilised industry-standard
modelling approaches. Iain Galloway Iain Galloway is the Managing Partner of Logistic Support International (LSI), an independent and trusted consultancy founded in 1988, which has had UK MOD as a lead customer since 1989. In addition Iain is a founder member of UK Council for electronic Business (UKCeB) and participates in several of its Working Groups. The Business Objectives of LSI are to solve Problems and deliver Management Solutions for effective Customer Support by facilitating Workshops at Strategic and Tactical Level, and developing and delivering practical Implementation Plans, to include Training tailored to the needs of its customers.
